India’s primary aluminium production grows 1.2% y-o-y in Q1FY’25

According to the Ministry of Mines, India’s primary aluminium production increased by 1.2% in Q1 of FY’25, reaching 1.04 million tonnes (t) from a level of 1.02 mnt in the same period of FY’24. This growth underscores India’s status as the second-largest aluminium producer globally, reflecting continued strength in the non-ferrous metals sector.
