China: Steel billet prices inch up by RMB 10/t ($4/t) d-o-d

  • Billet prices in Tangshan inched up d-o-d by RMB 10/t ($1/t) to RMB 3,130/t ($433/t) on 31 Jul’24. Prices include 13% VAT.
  • Improvement in rebar futures has supported billet prices.
  • Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (Oct’24 delivery) increased d-o-d by RMB 25/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,326/t ($461/t) on 31 Jul’24.
