According to the latest data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), global alumina production in Jun’24 fell slightly by around 1% reaching 11.92 mnt compared with 12.08 mnt in May. Meanwhile, it remained rangebound y-o-y compared with 11.80 mnt in Jun’23. Notably, China accounted for 6.98 mnt of total production, a decrease of 3.2% m-o-m in June.
