As per Japan Metal Daily, JX Nippon Mining & Metals is reducing electrolytic copper prices by JPY 40,000/t ($260/t) to JPY 1.46 million/t ($9,479/t) due to weak global copper prices and yen appreciation. This price drop follows a peak of JPY 1.75 million/t ($11,362/t) in May. LME copper prices have fallen by 4.9% this month, impacted by concerns over China’s economic recovery and high inventories.
