South Korea’s major EAF-based steel mill, Hyundai Steel, has decided to increase purchase prices of ferrous scrap by KRW 10,000/t ($7/t) at its Pohang Steel works, with effect from 19 Jul’24. The new price increase will be implemented for all grades of ferrous scrap except Lightweight, Compression (A,B) and Guillotine B.
