Indian Structure Offers Surge by INR 200-1,000/MT W-o-W

With the imposition of MIP and announcement of the union budget FY17, Indian structure manufacturers got temporary relief. Heavy and light structure prices have increased by INR 200-1,000/MT W-o-W across all grades.

Major price rise of INR 1,000/MT is seen in south market, followed by western market especially Ahmedabad (+600). However, prices in other markets have remained almost firm, with minor rise of INR 200-300/MT in a week’s duration.

Angle makers are offering 100*100 mm material at INR 27,700/MT in Durgapur, INR 28,000/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 26,000/MT in Raipur and INR 29,000/MT in Hyderabad.

However, prices of channel and beam in Ghaziabad have remained stable at INR 29,700/MT (200*75) and INR 29,200/MT (200*100).

Currently, 200*75 channel is available at INR 27,700/MT in Durgapur, INR 28,200/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 28,800/MT in Mumbai and INR 26,500/MT in Raipur.

Meanwhile, heavy structure, 200*100 beam offers are assessed at INR 27,700/MT in Durgapur and INR 29,300/MT in Mumbai.
