Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices fell by $1.50/t d-o-d to $107.25/t CFR China on 16 Jul’24 amid weak fundamentals due to the ongoing Third Plenary Session in China. Some mills were reducing production and opted for maintenance following the lower steel demand. Meanwhile, the drop in the premium for medium-grade fines signalled a lower buying interest in raw materials.
