Sponge iron prices in India showed mixed trends on 11 July. PDRI prices closed at a range of INR 24,200-26,550/t while CDRI prices were assessed at INR 26,000-30,000/t. About 20,350 t of sponge iron deals were concluded on 11 July against 9,900 t on 10 July.
BigMint’s weekly Indian low-grade iron ore fines (Fe 57%) export index decreased by $4/t w-o-w at $59/tonne (t) FOB east coast on 11 July 2024. A deal of 55,000 t of fines (Fe 57%) deal was heard concluded by a south India-based exporter at $74.5-75/t CFR China a couple of days back.
