India: Buyers book over 30,000 t of iron ore in SMIORE’s auction from Karnataka

SMIORE had an auction for 39,000 t of iron ore on 10 Jul’24 from its Sandur mines.

• Entire quantity of 12,000 t fines (Fe 55.70%) got booked at the base price of INR 2,980/t.
• Out of 27,000 t offered, 20,000 t lumps (5-40 mm, Fe 54.3-59.2%) got booked at INR 4,040-5,890/t.
• Prices are on ex-mines basis, including royalty, DMF and NMET.
