In this week, structure market has witnessed some recovery in prices. Light and heavy structure prices across India rose steeply by INR 400-500/MT for all grades.
The Indian steel manufacturers are eagerly waiting for upcoming union budget FY17 and put their offers on hold in the hope of better demand post budget announcement amid government’s few new infrastructure projects.
Today, billet prices rose by INR 100-400/MT and hovering within INR 20,850-24,400/MT in domestic market.
Presently, angle makers are offering 100*100 mm material at INR 27,500/MT in Durgapur, INR 27,400/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 25,800/MT in Raipur and INR 28,000/MT in Hyderabad.
However, prices of channel and beam in Ghaziabad have remained stable at INR 29,700/MT (200*75) and INR 29,200/MT (200*100).
Meanwhile, 200*75 channel is available at INR 27,500/MT in Durgapur, INR 27,600/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 28,600/MT in Mumbai and INR 26,300/MT in Raipur.
Heavy structure, 200*100 beam offers are assessed at INR 27,500/MT in Durgapur and INR 29,100/MT in Mumbai.
