An eastern India-based pellet producer has recently concluded an export deal for 55,000 t of pellets (Fe63%, 8% SiO2+ Al2O3). The deal was heard concluded at around $121-121.5/t CFR China for Jul’24 shipment. The rise in spot iron ore prices by $3 yesterday in China has lifted pellet export prices too. India’s pellet exports increased by 17% y-o-y to 5.4 mnt in H1CY24 as against 4.6 mnt in CPLY.
