NMDC’s steel plant in Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh, conducted a steel-grade pig iron auction for a total of 23,000 t on 1 Jul’24. 10,000 t was booked at an average price of INR 36,500/t, although management approval is still pending. In the previous approved auction, held on 30 Apr, 10,000 t of pig iron had been booked at an average price of INR 41,100/t.
