Pig Iron market is stable at Karnataka, India – Kirloskar Ferrous

“There is shortage of foundry grade Pig Iron due to which prices have witnessed no movement for the last couple of months.

Foundry grade material is being offered in the range of Rs 30,300-600/MT (Basic price) from the mid of August”, said a senior official.

“Market is not doing good for sometime now due to unavailability of iron ore in the state, which is expected to continue in the near future, though some of the mines have re-started operations in September.

Pig Iron demand is anticipated to be stable and prices might continue the same trend this month”, he added.
