OMC has offered 42,900 MT of chrome ore to be sold through MSTC’s e-auction platform to be held on 23rd of this month (To be opened between 11 am to 2 pm). Out of the total quantity offered, 39,100 MT are friable ore and 3,800 MT are Concentrate. The auction is open for both state-based and outside-state buyers.
The material (friable) will be available at OMC’s South Kaliapani and Sukrungi Chrome mines in Sukinda and concentrate ore will be available at COB plant at Kaliapani.
Meanwhile, this time OMC has slightly increased the base prices of various grades of Chrome ore. While the base price of +54 grade has increased to INR 8,982 from 8,898 in the January round of e-auction. Similarly, the 52-54 grade base price has increased to INR 8,649 from INR 8,569 in Janaury. The base price of 48-50 grade has also increased slightly to INR 6,394 from INR 6,332 in the previous month. The 46-48 grade base price has increased to INR 6,127 from INR 6,068 in January.
In the January round of Chrome ore e-auction OMC had cut base price by upto 12 % and in December by upto 27%.
