Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased by INR 500/t ($6/t) d-o-d on 29 Jun’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 36,800/t ($441/t) exy. Semi-finished and finished steel prices rose by INR 400-600/t in the region during yesterday’s trading session. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to raise their offers today.
