State owned company, KIOCL has further extended a global tender to procure 100,000 DMT (dry metric tonne) high grade iron ore concentrate from overseas and off shore sources. The extended due date will be 28 Feb’16.
Earlier on 18 Dec’15, state owned KIOCL, had intended to procure 100,000 MT DMT (dry metric tonne) high grade iron ore concentrate and sale back pellet to overseas and off shore sources through this tender. The scheduled technical bids was closed on 01 Feb’16.
But, to get better participant response as well as to provide sufficient time to the potential bidders, the company has further extended the tender due date till 28 Feb’16.
Iron ore purchased through this tender will be used at Mangalore based pellet plant and the respective pellet produced out of the high grade iron ore will be purchased back by the same party. The indicative Fe content of iron ore concentrate should be haematite-minimum 66% or magnetite-67% minimum. KIOCL operates 3.5 MnT pa pellet plant in Mangalore.
Quotations are invited from interested mine owners, traders, suppliers etc. Iron ore suppliers, who are ready to buy back the manufactured pellets, are only eligible to participate in this tender. The respective high grade ore should be delivered at new Mangalore Port on CIF basis and for the sale of pellets, quotations should be given in FoB, new Mangalore Port basis. Also, prices should be quoted in USD/MT.
