In Jun’24, the RMDAS ferrous scrap index, indicating spot market prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, witnessed a decline. The index recorded the following prices:
- Shredded scrap declined by $16/t to $379/t.
- Prompt industrial composite scrap decreased by $29/t, settling at $398/t.
- The HMS index decreased by $11/t, reaching $318/t.
