China’s rebar production stood at 83.98 mnt in Jan-May’24, down 12.6% y-o-y, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Wire rod production moved down by 4.1% y-o-y to 55.068 mnt in the period under review. In May, rebar production dropped 8.9% y-o-y to 17.986 mnt, while wire rod production rose by 8.1% y-o-y to 12.144 mnt.
