India’s ferrous scrap imports increased by 13% in May’24 to 510,286 t from 447,367 t in the previous month. However, annually import volumes declined by 25% compared to 680,934 t seen in May’23. The US, UK and Poland were the top exporters during the month with 66,121 t, 30,506 t and 11,075 t respectively.
