Taiwan’s ferrous scrap imports rose by 8% to 278,873 t in May compared to 257,350 t in the previous month. However, on an annualised basis, imports registered a drop of 18% as against 339,304 t seen in May’23. The US remained the leading exporter at 105,390 t, followed by Japan and Dominican Republic at 90,221 t and 17,907 t, respectively.
