Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 300/t ($3.6/t) d-o-d on 13 Jun’24, according to BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 38,200/t ($457/t) exy. Semi-finished and finished steel prices fell by around INR 200-300/t in the region in yesterday’s trading session along with moderate trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
