Spot prices of iron ore fines (Fe 62%) increased by $2.75/t d-o-d to $109.10/t CFR China on 6 Jun’24 amid improvement in demand. Interest in seaborne cargoes grew as prices dropped, leading to improved landing margins for all medium-grade fines at Chinese ports. The steelmakers preferred more medium-grade fines cargo to achieve energy savings and carbon reduction.
