The Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 19,950 t of iron ore tailings (Fe 58.58%- indicative) from its Barsua mines in Odisha on 5 Jun’24. According to sources, the entire quantity got booked at INR 3,400/t against the base price of INR 2,950/t. Price is on ex-mines basis and includes royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium.
