Indian secondary structure market has witnessed good recovery on account of positive sentiments prevailing in domestic market. Light and heavy structure prices in a week have risen by INR 300-500/MT across major market. However, southern market reported price corrections of INR 300/MT.
Most awaited government’s decision on MIP imposition on certain steel products to safeguard domestic steelmakers is currently driving up prices of all steel products. This in turn also increasing structure prices.
Central India market has seen major price rise (+500), followed by east (+300) and west markets (+200).
Currently, 100*100 mm angle offers are assessed at INR 26,400/MT in Durgapur, INR 26,200/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 23,500/MT in Raipur and INR 25,700/MT in Hyderabad.
In the meantime, 200*75 channel is offered at INR 26,400/MT in Durgapur, INR 28,300/MT in Ghaziabad, INR 26,400/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 27,400/MT in Mumbai and INR 24,000/MT in Raipur.
On the flip side, heavy structure, 200*100 beam offers in Gaziabad fell by INR 500/MT to INR 27,800/MT in a week. While, the same grade in Mumbai rose by INR 350/MT to INR 27,900/MT.
