Odisha based merchant miners are maintaining the same offers as of now except Essel Mining & Industries which has recently cut iron ore prices by INR 150/MT.
Odisha based major merchant miners including Rungta Mines and Serajuddin mines have also maintained their offers at similar levels.
“As of now there appears less chances of price cut in lump as in last one week sponge iron prices have recovered significantly by INR 450-1,000/MT in eastern India. However there are chances that fines prices may fall in the coming time owing to considerable increase in inventories” shared an Odisha based miner.
Also as per sources transport strike called by truckers in Joda circle against capping of mineral transportation charges is still on which has hampered the movement of iron ore.
