Tokyo Steel has announced a price reduction for domestic ferrous scrap by JPY 2,000/t ($13/t), effective 28 May’24. Consequently, the new price for H2 scrap at the Tahara and Nogoya plants stand at JPY 49,500/t ($315/t) and JPY 48,500/t ($309/t) respectively. Meanwhile, prices at Utsunomiya and Okayama remained unchanged at JPY 51,500/t ($328/t).
