According to the latest data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), the aluminium production in Apr’24 has decreased, reaching 5.90 mnt, marking a 3% decrease from 6.09 mnt, m-o-m. In contrast, production witnessed a rise of 3.3% y-o-y from 5.71 mnt in April 2023. Notably, China, as the primary alumina producer, accounted for 3.50 mnt, indicating a 3% decrease from the preceding month’s 3.61 mnt.
