“Billet purchases have limited across the country” – Concast Group, India

“Billet buying has reduced in domestic market on account of less demand in the finished steel i.e. the flat and long products.

There is not much of action seen in the construction sector which has resulted for the above. Also, labors are not available in large numbers due to festive season”, shared Mr. Anil Jain, Director Commercial at Concast Group based in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Most of the rolling mills are running at around 50% production capacity and Billet offers might be more or less same”, he added.
