Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products including Pig iron, flat and long products and special steels at its plants spread over India.
The company has invited a tender for appointment of a conversion agent from bonafide, resourceful person/firm/company capable of converting 2,000 MT semi finished into rebar in and around Durgapur, West Bengal.
Contract period
The tenure of the contract will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of commencement of work mentioned in issued work order.
Eligibility criteria
1. Bidder should have a valid Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) license for manufacture of rebar in IS:1786 Fe 500D grade.
2. Bidder needs to submit the copy of Income Tax Returns with acknowledgment and Audit Financial Statement (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account).
3. Bidder needs to submit the current dated Banker’s Certificate.
4. The minimum average annual turnover of the bidder should be INR 1 crore and net worth should be positive.
5. Bidder should have there own suitable computers, xerox machine, fax machine, scanner and arrangement for internet connectivity.
6. The mills should be operational. Non-operational mills will not be considered.
7. Manufacturers/re-rollers whose contract has been terminated and who have been blacklisted, shall not be considered eligible. Bidder requires to submit an undertaking at the time of bidding.
