NMDC had an auction for 196,000 t of iron ore on 9 May’24 from its Kumaraswamy mines.
- 68,000 t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 61.21-61.34%) got booked at INR 4,967-4,987/t against the base price of INR 4,777-4,807/t.
- 128,000 t fines (Fe 56.24-61.90%) got booked at INR 3,037-4,906/t against the base price of INR 3,007-4,136/t. Prices are on ex-mines basis, including royalty, DMF and NMET.
- Notably, bid prices for lumps and fines were higher by INR 190/t and 770/t, respectively.
