Export offers of hot-dipped galvanised iron (HDGI) coils (0.50mm, 900-1,250mm) from India remained stable this week at $785/t FOB west coast. Faced with a quiet European market due to limited demand, Indian mills are maintaining stable prices for HDGI. However, buyers in Europe are also hesitant to purchase Indian material due longer lead times and risks related to safeguard measures.
