Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), India’s largest steelmaker, is offering basic grade Pig iron at INR 16,700/MT, ex-Rourkela till 2 Feb’16.
The company has also offered additional discount of upto INR 400/MT on bulk purchase of upto 5,000 MT. During Dec’15, it offered Pig iron at INR 14,800/MT, ex-plant with additional discount of upto INR 200/MT.

Meanwhile, Neelachal Ispat, another primary manufacturer, has also increased its prices by INR 700-900/MT for rest of January. Currently, offers for N1 grade and N2 grade Pig iron are assessed at INR 16,800/MT and INR 17,400/MT ex-Cuttack with discount of upto INR 400/MT on bulk purchase.
