Canada’s coal exports dropped by 6% m-o-m to 7.71 mnt in Apr’24 as against 8.19 mnt in Mar’24. The country exported the highest volume to China at 1.22 mnt (down by 8% m-o-m) followed by South Korea at 1.10 mnt as against 0.99 mnt in Mar’24. Meanwhile, shipments to the Netherlands surged by 54% to 1.04 mnt in the month under review. Notably, no exports were recorded to India in Apr’24.
