Secondary manufacturers in Raipur are offering rebar at competitive rates as compared to Durgapur, which is one of the largest rebar market in east India.
Few months earlier, Durgapur based rebar manufacturers were offering the material at lower rates by around INR 1,000/MT than Raipur.
As per market participants, despite competitve offers in Raipur, traders and stockist are not intersted to restock the material as market seems to be uncertain in upcoming months.
Presently, offers in Raipur for 12 mm rebar are in the range of INR 24,400- 24,600/MT (basic price, excise duty & other taxes extra). Similarly, Raigarh and Durgapur based manufacturers are offering the same size material at the similar range of INR 24,700-24,900/MT.
