Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Ltd (SMIORE) is set to conduct an auction on 30 Apr’24, to offer 40,320 t of manganese (Mn: 20-35%, 10 to 100mm) from Ballari, Karnataka. In the last auction which concluded on 12 April 2024 for around 59,472 t of manganese ore (Mn: 18-34%, size: -10 to 100mm). According to sources, around 19,152 t (Mn: 20-35%) was booked at INR 3,000-10,400/t (close to base price), while around 40,320 t remained unsold.
