Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 25 Apr’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 37,000/t ($444/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel increased in the late hours of yesterday’s trading session in the region, accompanied by active buying inquiries for scrap, prompting suppliers to increase their offers today.
