The World Steel Association (worldsteel) reported that crude steel production for the 71 countries has decreased by 4.3% y-o-y to 161.2 mnt in Mar’24. However, the same increased by 8% m-o-m against 148.8 mnt in Feb’24.
- China’s output declined by 7.8% y-o-y to 88.3 mnt.
- India’s production rose by 7.8% y-o-y to 12.7 mnt.
- Japan’s production went down by 3.9% y-o-y to 7.2 mnt.
