BigMint’s weekly price assessment revealed a notable uptick in sponge iron export offers, fuelled by a substantial rise in domestic prices in India, up to INR 2,000/t w-o-w. Leading prices for Nepal escalated by $27/t to $410/t CPT Raxaul for FeM 80% with 3000 t, while Bangladesh saw a $33/t hike, reaching $423/t CPT Benapole with 5,000 t of sponge iron sold.
