China’s rebar production stood at 50.15 mnt in Jan-Mar’24, down by 9.5% y-o-y compared to the same period last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Wire rod production went down by 4.5% y-o-y to 32.44 mnt in the period under review. In Mar’24, rebar production dropped 22.5% y-o-y to 17.787 mnt, while wire rod production fell by 12% y-o-y to 11.36 mnt.
