OMC is set to auction 65,000 t of chrome ore from South Kaliapani and Sukrangi mines on 19 Apr’24. The offered quantity rose by 7,300 t, with a 5% reduction in base prices (INR 403-1,148/t) m-o-m for all grades. This adjustment responds to declining ferro chrome prices amid sluggish stainless steel market trends. Around 6,100 t of lumps and fines (32-36%) are being offered from Bangur mines.
