Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 200/t d-o-d on 9 Apr’24. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,700/t exy. Moderate trade activities for semi-finished steel were observed in yesterday’s trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap by the Bhavnagar-based IF steel mills prompted suppliers to raise their offers today.
