In the closing weeks of March 2024, key original equipment manufacturers (OEM) based in western and northern India organised several auctions of prompt scrap (CR-HR busheling scrap). As per BigMint assessment, the bids put forward in these auctions were lower than bids witnessed in auctions held in Feb’24 indicating weak sentiments in the steel market.
