Indian Coal Stock Updates: Week 1

Coal stock assessed at about 12 MnT at major Indian ports in week 1 of 2016.

Major Indian ports in week 1 have registered total coal stock of about 12.1 MnT. Non–coking coal stock was assessed at about 9.6 MnT and constituted to 81% of total stock. Coking coal inventory was found to be 2.2 MnT.

Adani emerged out as the highest coal stock holder, carrying about 1.1 MnT of coal stock at different ports at the end of week.

Ports with highest coal stock

Paradip and Gangavaram ports were reported to have the highest coal stock of about 2.2 MnT each. Tuticorin Port was reported to hold about 1.6MnT of coal stock at end of the week under review.
