The Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 19,860 t of iron ore tailings (Fe 60.90%- indicative) from its Barsua mines in Odisha on 14 Mar’24. According to sources, the entire quantity got booked at INR 4,550/t. Prices are on ex-mines basis and include royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium.
