Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 100/t d-o-d on 13 Mar’24, according to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 33,500/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell by around INR 200-300/t in the region in yesterday’s trading session along with disparity in bids and offers for scrap prompted suppliers to lower their offers today.
