Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) has invited two different tenders for purchase of 400,000 MT low ash with extra low sulphur sub-bituminous coal and 675,000 MT general sub-bituminous coal.
General conditions
1. 400,000 MT of low sulphur sub-bituminous coal should be shipped in 5 Panamax size vessels, each with 80,000 MT +/-10% and 675,000 MT of general sub-bituminous coal should be shipped in 9 Panamax size vessels, each with 75,000 MT+/-10%.
2. Bidder may offer one or more than one shipment.
3. The bid bond of low sulphur sub-bituminous and general sub-bituminouse coal should be USD 80,000 or TWD 2,512,000 and USD 75,000 or TWD 2,355,000 per shipment respectively.
4. The bidder proposing coal mine with Indonesian origin is requested to provide a copy of ET Batubara issued by Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia.
Specification
1. Gross calorific value: 4,800 Kcal/Kg min for low sulphur sub-bituminous and 5,000 Kcal/Kg min for general sub-bituminous coal
2. Total moisture: 30% max for low sulphur and 28% max for general sub-bituminous coal
3. Ash: 6% max for low sulphur and 11% max for general sub-bituminous coal
4. Sulphur content: 0.2% max for low sulphur and 0.9% max for general sub-bituminous coal
5. Fixed Carbon: 60% max for both
Delivery period: During Mar-Jul’16 for low sulphur sub-bituminous and Apr-Jun’16 for general sub-bituminous coal.
