Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 12 Mar’24, according to BigMint’s assessment, with HMS (80:20) prices assessed at INR 33,600/t exy. Semi-finished and finished steel prices fell in yesterday’s trading session in all key markets of India. Limited buying inquiries for scrap in the region prompted scrap suppliers to decrease their offers today.
