The stability persisted in both India’s domestic and imported stainless steel markets. BigMint’s assessment for 304-grade scrap was INR 116,000/t, and for 316-grade, it stood at INR 212,000/t, ex-Delhi. In the imported sector, prices for 304 and 316-grade were at $1,350/t and $2,525/t, CFR Mundra. Nevertheless, market demand remained subdued, with only a few transactions taking place.
