Pig Iron is to be offered at high prices by Jindal Steel & Power Ltd

“Current Pig Iron offers at Rs 26,100/MT is presumed to be hiked by up to Rs 400/MT in the mid of the current month.

Market requirement goes up every year during Quarter 3 and 4 and results in upward trend of prices”, said Mr. Ramkishor, Senior DGM at JSPL based at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.

“It is heard that Government might increase the railway freight rates which will definitely influence the steel prices. 

In October, we sold 5,000 tons of steel grade Pig Iron and output is to be the same for this month”, the official added further.
