Iron ore (Fe 62%) fines spot prices inched down by $0.5/t d-o-d to $117.25/t CFR China on 5 Mar’24. Prices dropped amid weak downstream steel demand and low operation rates along with maintenance shutdown by some mills. Some reports claimed that China’s GDP objective for 2024 stated in the “Two Sessions” was essentially in line with market projections.
